Here’s another piece of information to add to it.
BMW pay Skoda a fee to licence the tailgate operation from the Skoda Mk2 Superbs dual operation tailgate aka Twindoor.

The back seats also can recline if I recall correctly.
As much as people hate these cars, they are really spacious and functional. Driving around for two weeks in a 3 series GT opened my eyes. With M Sport package and a nice color they can look great.

From someone who has no experience with these cars. A Skoda Superb and 2 Saabs seems like great taste.

The video is of a Skoda Superb Mk2 Twindoor in Queensland, Australia.
So yeah, he’s a top bloke. Aussies are top blokes (and Sheilas)

Hang on. Why would you want two? Is a hatchback not superior in every single scenario?

One is a convertible which does not work as a hatchback. The other is a sedan which is probably why he bought the Skoda.
